Tim and Debbie Childers

Pastor Tim Childers came to First Baptist in August, 2007. He has been in full time ministry since 1985. He has served churches in Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana and most recently in Mableton, Georgia. He is a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently working on three books. He has been married to his college sweetheart, Debbie since 1975. They are the co-founders of The Reality Group www.therealitygroup.org, a speaking and teaching ministry. Pastor Tim and Debbie have two children. Amy Griffith is the mother of the five cutest, smartest grandkids in the world. Mattie, Samuel, Mallory, Tucker and Macy. She teaches art at Midway Christian School and is married to Sam who teaches P.E. at Lovingood Elementary School, both in Powder Springs, Georgia. Clay is 26 years old. He is a graduate of Kennesaw State University with a degree in sports management. He has recently started a career in management with Label Tape Print Corporation in Powder Springs, Georgia. His greatest accomplishment to date was marrying Candi on July 28, 2007. Clay's passion is golf and he brings that passion into his church in Georgia where he coordinates 2 golf tournaments each year. Pastor Tim's favorite things to do when he is away from the church: anything to do with water, the lake or the beach.
